: ج أذؤُب وذِئاب وذُؤْبان، مؤ ذِئْبة : (حن) حيوان مفترس من الفصيلة الكلبيَّة، ورتبة اللواحم، أغبشُ اللَّون، خفيفُ الحركة، حادّ البصر والسَّمع، واسع المكْر والحيلة، والرماديّ من المناطق القطبيَّة أشدُّها افتراسًا وهو يعيش ويصطاد على شكل جماعات تسلسليَّة، هرميَّة، وتضع أنثى الذِّئب في الربيع من 3 إلى 12 صغيرًا، ويسمَّى كلب البَر

🇬🇧 Translation: : Plural: adz'ub, dzi'ab, and dzu'ban, feminine: dza'bah : (Zoology) A predatory animal of the canine family and the order Carnivora, dark-colored, agile, with sharp sight and hearing, highly cunning and resourceful. The gray one from polar regions is the most predatory. It lives and hunts in hierarchical packs. The female wolf gives birth in the spring to 3 to 12 pups. It is called the wild dog (Wolf).

: خفيف النوم، يَقِظ - أسرعُ غَدْرةً من الذِّئب : وصف للغدّار الخائن العهد - أكلهم الذِّئبُ : أرهقتهم السنةُ الشديدة - ألقى بنفسه في فم الذِّئب : عرّض نفسَه للخطر دون تروٍّ ولا بصيرة - داء الذِّئْب : الجوع - ذُؤْبان العرب : صعاليكهم ولصوصهم - ذئب بشريّ : شخصٌ نُزعت منه الإنسانيّة، يفترس الأعراض - ذئبٌ في جِلْد حَمَل : مخادع غشّاش، ظاهره مُسالِم وباطنُه مؤذٍ - ذئبُ يوسف : يُضرب في براءة السَّاحة - رماه الله بداء الذِّئب : يُدعَى به على الظالم؛ لأنّ الذئب جائع دائمًا.

🇬🇧 Translation: : Light sleeper, vigilant - Faster in treachery than a wolf : A description of a treacherous covenant-breaker - The wolf ate them : The severe year exhausted them - Threw himself into the wolf's mouth : Exposed himself to danger without deliberation or insight - The wolf's disease : Hunger - The wolves of the Arabs : Their tramps and thieves - A human wolf : A person devoid of humanity, who preys on honors - A wolf in sheep's clothing : A deceitful trickster, peaceful on the outside and harmful on the inside - The wolf of Joseph : Applied proverbially to innocence - May Allah afflict him with the wolf's disease : Invoked against an oppressor; because the wolf is always hungry.

: (حن) حيوان ثدييّ مشابه للضِّباع، يعيش في جنوب وشرق إفريقيا يقتات بشكل رئيسيّ على النمل الأبيض ويرقات الحشرات.

🇬🇧 Translation: : (Zoology) A mammalian animal similar to hyenas, living in southern and eastern Africa, feeding mainly on termites and insect larvae (Aardwolf).

عنب الذِّئب

: (نت) نبات برِّيّ ينبت مع شجيرات القطن وغيره، له ثمر صغير مرّ الطعم، وأسود اللّون كالعنب.

🇬🇧 Translation: : (Botany) A wild plant that grows with cotton bushes and others, has a small fruit with a bitter taste, and is black like grapes (Black nightshade).
